Dear Southminster Family,
We are all God’s people and everything we have comes from God. It is given to us so that we may care for our own needs and the needs of our families, as well as helping others to know and experience Christ’s love.
In the book of the Bible we are reading this fall the apostle Paul says,
The point is this: the one who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully (II Corinthians 9:6).
God gives us the seeds. We can eat them or store them, but if we spread them around they multiply in unexpected ways.
Please assist your Session members when we draw up the budget for 2019 by filling out a pledge card for the coming year.
Also on the pledge card is a line for making a pledge to our capital budget this year. This capital budget pledge will go to building improvements that the Session has approved for the coming year, including roof repairs and a commercial oven for the downstairs kitchen. The goal of the capital budget in 2019 is $15,000.
If possible, return the pledge cards to the church by December 2, our pledge dedication Sunday.
Thank you for thinking about your pledge and giving as God is leading you.
